Get a Beta-Chi Cudgel This past year at the 100th year celebration of St Pats the Beta-chi chapter won another cudgle building contest. The chapter house is full of award winning cudgles and now it is time to retire one of these works of art. This cudgle is about 7' tall and 14" in diameter, built in two sections about 1990. Call Robert Hoffmann at 314-537-3193 to claim. UMR Chancellor Passes Away Dr. Gary Thomas, chancellor of UMR from 2000-2005, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008, at age 70. Thomas is remembered by the university for his his hard work to better the campus, and by individuals for his gracious nature. Brother Forsee '69 Appointed UM System President Gary D. Forsee '69, a native Missourian, Beta-Chi brother and veteran business leader, was appointed as the 22nd President of the four-campus University of Missouri System. The University of Missouri Board of Curators voted unanimously during executive session to hire Mr. Forsee with an initial three-year contract. Mr. Forsee is to succeed Interim President Gordon H.
