The action is just starting at 1701 White Columns Drive. Storage units are holding our historical items and furniture, while construction crews begin the demolition, renovation, and expansion of our historic home. We were able to accelerate our initial construction timeline due to several alumni front-loading their pledges and our ability to secure a $2.5 million loan through a local bank. However, the completion of the project and financial viability of Beta-Chi hinge on reaching our $2.5 million fundraising goal. To date we have raised $2,011,684 and still need $488,000.

The fraternal bond extends beyond our time in Rolla, and the effort to raise the remaining $488,000 will truly be a Beta-Chi effort. We have 58 class leaders from 40 classes helping us to inspire their classmates to be a part of this special time in our history. You can see the names of the class leaders on page four. If your class does not have a leader, we hope you will contact us and take on this role.

The Beta-Chi bond is strong because of our legacy and commitment to Kappa Sig. We see this bond at St. Pat’s, Alumni Hall of Fame/Homecoming, and Founder’s Day, but also through the relationships many of us continue to this day. On behalf of Securing the Future for the Beta-Chi Chapter of Kappa Sigma Campaign, I would like to thank the 150 alumni and undergraduates who have already committed to the future of our Fraternity, and I invite those who have not to join us on our contributors list, which grows each day.

Consider your own Beta-Chi experience—the lifelong friendships, the leadership and social skills you gained, and the values upon which we were founded. As several alumni have mentioned, Kappa Sig helped them academically—and for many, financially—survive the rigor of Rolla while gaining key skills that helped them later in life. By investing in Kappa Sig’s outstanding young men, we are investing in the leaders of the 21st century. For this to continue, we need your pledge today.
